ST CHRISTOPHER’S SCHOOL HOST THIRD CHARITY SWIM GALA

St Christopher’s School hosted their 3rd Charity Swimming Gala on Friday 20 October 2017. Over 130 swimmers took part, with all entry fees being donated to the United World Schools projects. Parents also baked cakes and cookies to sell in support of the cause. Swimmers competed in up to 4 events, in distances of 50m and 100m. Some took on the challenge of butterfly and IM events, while others beat their personal best times in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. Medals were awarded to 1st place swimmers in each age category.
The Swim Squad would like to thank all those who competed, and to all the parents and students who gave up their time officiating, collecting money, baking cakes and cheering on the swimmers – “we are proud to announce that with all your help we managed to raise a staggering figure of BD 1,330”.
