Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Chairman, FIFA First Deputy President Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, hosted a lunch banquet today in honour of FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Bahrain Football Association (BFA) Chairman Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has also attended the luncheon.
Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa welcomed Infantino and other AFC Executive Board members, stressing the importance of solidarity among the international football community to withstand challenges and and achieve aspirations.
The FIFA boss expressed thanks to Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa for the invitation to visit the Kingdom of Bahrain and attended the AFC Executive Board meeting.
He praised Bahrain’s keenness on hosting continental and international sports competitions and other events.
The AFC Executive Board members also lauded the warm welcome and good hospitality in Bahrain, commending the Kingdom’s key role in the success of AFC activities and programmes.
