Alba Announces New Director for Safety, Health &Environment

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the Bahrain-based international aluminium smelter, announced the appointment of Mohamed Khalil Saeed as the Director of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) with immediate effect during the Board Meeting that was held on 09 May 2018.

Moh’d Khalil joined Alba in 1997 as a Security Officer in the SHE department following which he was promoted to supervisory levels such as Security Supervisor (2002), Fire Superintendent (2007), SHE Superintendent (2011) and Marine Operation Superintendent (2014). In 2016, Moh’d was promoted to SHE Manager then to Senior SHE Manager in 2017.

Congratulating Moh’d Khalil on his promotion, Alba’s Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray said:

“Moh’d exemplifies Alba’s philosophy to develop its people and promoting them from within the Company to leadership positions. Moh’d brings with him extensive knowledge and experience in various areas under Environment, Health and Safety.

I am confident that Moh’d will elevate our Safety initiatives as we get ready to take our place as the world’s largest single-site aluminium smelter with Line 6 operations.

Moh’d Khalil holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Safety Management from Bell Town University, US, Diploma in Fire Engineering from Morten-in-Marsh Fire Service College, UK and an Executive MBA from French Arabian Business School (FABS).
