Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray is a key speaker at CRU’s 23rd World Aluminium Conference, which is taking place from 23 to 25 April 2018 at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, London, UK.
During the keynote panel on ‘Primary Aluminium’, Murray presented on Alba’s ‘Line 6 Expansion Project Update’ describing it as Bahrain’s largest non-oil endeavour in its modern history.
Murray said: “Alba is currently the fifth largest smelter in the world; I am proud to say that in CRU 2019, Alba will be the world’s largest smelter with an annual production capacity of 1.5 million metric tonne per year.
On the back of our resilience in 2017 and as we prepare in 2018 to finish from the construction of our Project, I am confident that we will succeed in taking-off Line 6 Expansion Project into reality and deliver the First Hotel Metal on 01 January 2019.”
CRU’s World Aluminium Conference is an annual event that is widely recognised as one of the top industry events, which attracts influential delegates and key decision makers from the global aluminium industry.
