Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) held the closing ceremony of one of its biggest activities – the annual Ramadan Sports Season for 2018 – on Saturday 02 June at Alba Club in the presence of Alba’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Khalid Abdul Latif, Alba Managers and employees.
Held with the aim to encourage a healthy lifestyle amongst employees and endorse interaction between different departments, Alba’s Ramadan Sports Tournament is one of the most popular events in the Company’s annual calendar.
Commenting on the occasion, Khalid Abdul Latif said:
“Alba Ramadan Sports Tournament is a permanent fixture during the Holy Month every year as we witness some exceptional performance by our employees during this time.
Ramadan tournaments are always led and encouraged by Alba’s Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray in support of corporate social responsibility and healthy life style. It is my pleasure to honour the winners as well as participating teams, and I thank them for making this event a success despite their hectic schedules.”
The Alba Ramadan Sports Season 2018 had several matches under the sporting categories – Football, Basketball, Billiard, Snooker, Dart, Bowling and Table Tennis. The main attractions were the Football Championship, which was won by the Reduction Lines 1-3 team and the Men’s Basketball title, which was won by the CMO team. A special 4×4 Ladies Basketball tournament was also held this year.
