Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray held a one-day workshop ‘Tomorrow will be different than Today’ based on the former Saudi Arabian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, His Excellency Ali Al Naimi’s autobiography ‘Out of the Desert’.
Held on Thursday February 15, 2018 at Alba Club for Alba’s Executives, Directors and Managers, the workshop was in line with the Company’s 2018 Expectations and focused on leadership skills, decision-making skills and hard-work.
Commenting on the workshop, CEO Tim Murray said:
“His Excellency, Ali Al Naimi, is a great example of what can be achieved through hard-work and education. There are many lessons from his book that Alba can apply as we prepare for the commissioning of Line 6 which will make Alba the largest smelter in the world.”
HE Ali Al-Naimi’s book is about his journey from a Bedouin boy who joined Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s national oil company to become its first Saudi CEO in 1988 and his subsequent appointment as the Saudi Arabian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and one of the most influential figures in the global oil industry.
In his book, HE Ali Al-Naimi highlights how hard-work and treating all individuals with respect are the key elements to success. He also emphasises that dreaming big and pushing oneself beyond limits will help achieve the impossible.
