Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), one of the leading employers of women in the Kingdom of Bahrain, marked the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day with a celebration that was held today, Thursday, 28 December, 2017 at the Oasis Hall in Alba.

Headed by Alba’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Ali Al Baqali and attended by Alba’s Executive Management, Directors and Managers, the celebration and luncheon hosted over 100 female employees of the Company.

Applauding the Company’s female employees, Ali Al Baqali said: “It is well-known that Bahraini women have set extraordinary examples for their counterparts in all fields not just in Bahrain but also the GCC.

Alba is extremely proud of its female employees. This celebration is a significant opportunity for us at Alba to recognise our women workforce and thank them for their hard work and dedication that have played a major role in the Company’s success.”

Every year, Bahraini Women’s Day is celebrated on the 1st of December as part of an initiative by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) to honor the achievements, valuable insights and contributions made by Bahraini women towards the development and progress of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
