Alba Press Statement regarding the news of dismissal of Alba employee

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. and Tamkeen, in response to the in the online media relating to the dismissal of more than 50 of its , state the following:

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. notified all Vocational Trainees (VT) earlier today that their contracts will expire as per their respective Vocational Trainee Contracts, in 24 months from the date of entering into such with . All Vocational Trainees need to undergo an assessment, as per their respective contracts, and shall be offered employment upon successful completion.

Alba always fulfils its contractual obligations vis-à-vis its contractual partners, specifically, as in this case with the relevant VTs, Tamkeen or other related parties.

Alba consistently supports Tamkeen’s efforts in training and developing Bahrain younger generation. Currently, 87% of Alba’s workforce is Bahrainis.
