Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), one of the leading aluminium smelters in the world, held the last session of its annual 2016 ‘Town Hall Meetings’ on January 26, 2016.
The 2016 Town Hall Meetings commenced on January 14, 2016 and covered about 80% of Alba’s employees through tenth sessions. Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray delivered all the sessions during which, he presented an update on the Company’s performance and achievements in 2015 along with the expectations for 2016.
Speaking about the annual Town Hall Meetings, CEO Tim Murray said:
“Town Hall Meeting is a very sound practice for any organisation as it bridges the gap amongst the different layers of the workforce. For a company as Alba with such a huge taskforce, these Meetings are equally important as through which, we ensure synergy amongst us as well as help us orchestrate as a team on how to embrace the challenges ahead in order to remain competitive.”

‘Town Hall Meetings’ were first launched in January 2014 by Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray, and underlined the Company’s commitment to promote direct communication between the management and the employees.
