AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation launched its “Ramadan Basket” initiative for the fourth consecutive year as part of its efforts to engage students in charity work and instill values of volunteering and social responsibility.
During this initiative, 41 students from “Rayaat” Scholarship Program and the Youth Enrichment Program “Ithra” prepared Ramadan baskets and distributed them to 48 families across the Kingdom. The initiative has been commended by the beneficiary families, who expressed their gratitude and appreciation to MKF’s students for their support and efforts in reaching out to the local community.
The initiative was launched in partnership with VIVA Telecommunications Company, and Aswaq Ramez in which both provided a number of the Ramadan baskets to families in need. The basket included a selection of essential products for the holy month.
In addition, the “Ramadan Basket” initiative comes in line with MKF’s objectives to encourage students to give back to the local community and strengthen social community bonds.
H.H Shaikha Zain Bin Bint Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairperson of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, lauded VIVA Telecommunication Company’s and Aswaq Ramez support for this initiative and recognized the students’ efforts for their participation and creation of a positive impact within the local community during the holy month of Ramadan.
Every year, Rayaat Scholarship Program students complete 30 hours of volunteer work. Social responsibility is considered a core element in the program, which consists of various activities held throughout the year in partnership with civil organizations and charities to support different groups within the society.
