Atbahrain Partners with Novo Nordisk

The collaboration is reflective of Atbahrain’s efforts to identify and attract major events and increase the number of visitors to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Atbahrain, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (“Mumtalakat”) and Bahrain’s leading destination management company, announced today that it has partnered with Novo Nordisk, the Danish pharmaceutical giant, to provide them with full-fledged conference and events services for its Annual ME & West Asia Senior Management conference. The conference was held at the Four Seasons hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

As part of this partnership, Atbahrain provided Novo Nordisk, Denmark’s second largest corporation, with extensive support to help the company build a unique position tailored to its2016 strategic outlook. Atbahrain worked hand in hand with Novo Nordisk to develop the theme of the conference and provided venue support that is in line with the conference’s strapline: ““Dare to Dive”.

The conference was attended by120 executives, including doctors and pharmaceutical industry executives from over 20 countries, and benefitted many suppliers of heritage products, restaurants, logistics and IT companies, and others. The participants were pleased to see such a conference take place in Bahrain for the first time.

Commenting on the success of the event, Mr. Benjo Van Laarhoven, General Manager of Atbahrain, said: “I am proud that we have been able to set a new Benchmark for Conference Management in Bahrain. We achieved this by connecting the dots in Bahrain’s travel and tourism related industries. It was truly beneficial to bring over 10 Bahraini companies together to deliver services in line with global best practices.”
