Ayadi Relief, a Bahraini youth-driven humanitarian organization, kicks off its second annual ‘STREAT’ food festival in Marassi Beach in Marassi Al Bahrain – a unique waterfront project situated in Diyar Al Muharraq. The two day outdoor food festival will take place on Friday 3rd March and Saturday 4th March 2017, from 2pm until 10pm.
STREAT food festival is happening for the second time after its huge success last year, attended by more than 4,500 guests. This year the festival will host over 27 unique food vendors from the kingdom, offering a variety of mouthwatering food options that will satisfy all tastes. This is in addition to several children activities and a range of live stage competitions and performances.
STREAT will be encouraging its’ visitors this season to live a healthy lifestyle with “STREAT Fitness” by hosting multiple sports and fitness classes by the beach that will be facilitated by certified trainers from local sport centers. The classes will include yoga for kids and adults, combat training, mixed exercises and many more for those who are looking for an adventurous workout or trying something new.
“We are excited to present STREAT for the second year, with a larger variety of food vendors to please all your taste buds, and a wider range of promising talents performing on our stage. Additionally, this year STREAT will provide all sports enthusiasts with the perfect platform to enjoy a range of unique workout sessions with a beautiful view of the beach, run by the best gyms and instructors in town,” said Nisreen Al Moawdah, Director of Events at Ayadi Relief. “All proceeds raised from the festival will support Waqf Al Ataa Project which will provide a sustainable source of income to support the expansion of Ayadi’s projects locally and internationally.”
Commenting on the event, Daniel Hammond, General Manager Eagle Hills Bahrain, developers of the urban waterfront project, said: “The STREAT festival is a wonderful community initiative by Ayadi Relief, and we are pleased to provide a beautiful venue for the second annual event. The setting is ideal for STREAT as our beachfront is home to Bahrain’s first permanent food-truck court. Visitors can not only enjoy the delicacies on offer, but can take advantage of our quality children’s play area, promenade and beach activities.”
Once Marassi al Bahrain is complete, Marassi Beach’s two kilometres of white sand will be home to many new to market F&B concepts, located just a stone’s throw away from both the residential and lifestyle elements of the development.
The festival aims to create a great experience for all visitors, families and friends who are looking for the perfect place to spend a unique and enjoyable time together. Visitors will be dazzled by the stage performances featuring local and regional talents who will make sure to keep everyone entertained and well engaged throughout the event.
