Bahrain Airport Services Catering has successfully completed the ISO 22000:2005 accreditation, after fulfilling all the necessary requirements for the certification and passing all the related audits.
ISO 22000 is an international standard which sets out the requirements for a food safety management system used by food producer organizations which contains food safety and quality assurance measures. ISO 22000 aims to help organizations identify and control all types of food safety hazards by providing a practical approach to ensure the reduction and elimination of food safety hazards.
This International Standard integrates the principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) for robust and developed Food Safety Systems that is formed by conducting hazard analysis and risk assessment.
At BAS Catering, the Food Safety System has been in place for a very long time and fully compliant with the requirements of HACCP which is audited and approved by the Customer Airline Auditors and third party auditors on regular basis.
