BBBF Chairman Mr. Khalid Al Zayani OBE welcomes Mr. Vomic Nur Shah of UKEF
Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF) held its monthly business networking lunch meeting featuring keynote speaker Mr. Vomic Nur Shah, Regional Head for Business Development, UK Export Finance (UKEF). As part of the meeting, the Chairman of the BBBF, Mr. Khalid Al Zayani OBE, welcomed him and more than 100 forum members and their guests to the meeting held at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel recently.
In his address Mr. Shah said: “We are extremely pleased to have attended this session at the BBBF. The Gulf region is a key priority for UKEF and we have significant appetite to support new business in Bahrain thereby bolstering the growing trade and investment relationship between the two countries. As an export credit agency we are here to support businesses of any size from any sector with a mission to ensure that no viable export fails for lack of finance and insurance.”
Mr. Al Zayani OBE said: “Our strategy is continuously promote trade and investment between Bahrain and Britain to benefit and enhance the common economic interests of our member companies in a favourable business environment. By hosting UKEF we were able to offer our members exposure to the different types of funding and expertise that is available for all types of businesses. We would like to thank Mr Shah for his valuable presentation and would also like to thank the British Ambassador, H.E. Simon Martin CMG and the rest of the team at the Embassy for their steadfast support.”
The UKEF keynote speech was the latest in a series of monthly events hosted by the BBBF, designed to further strengthen professional and cultural ties between its members and participants.
