Bahrain claims GCC sports title; bags 77 medals

The Kingdom of Bahrain has won the 6th GCC Women’s Sports Championship, which concluded in Kuwait.

Bahrain sportswomen shone in the tournament, claiming the title for the third time, since the tournament which was first launched in 2008. Bahrain’s final tally stood at 77 medals – 36 gold, 28 silver and 13 bronze.

The United Arab Emirates finished second, bagging 54 medals (22 gold, 14 silver and 18 bronze), followed by Kuwait which won 50 medals – 17 gold, 10 silver and 23 bronze.
