New members of the Bahrain Emergency Medicine Association for the 2018 – 2020 term have been announced. The association, under the aegis of the Bahrain Medical Society (BMS), revealed the new board members at the General Assembly meeting held at the Society’s headquarters in Juffair.
The association’s new president is Dr Salah Al Ghanem , while vice-president is Dr Amjed Ubaid. Dr Naser Ali was named general secretary, Dr Aisha Al-sabeai named as financial secretary. Dr Moza Mohamed, Dr Dana Althawadi and Dr Asad Amin won seats as board members.
Following the meeting, the new president and members of the association agree on holding more scientific conferences and contributing to raising the level of medical awareness and health education, and holding more medical forums that contribute to raising the doctor’s efficiency.
Making remarks, the General Secretary of BMS Dr Nazar Bukamal congratulated the new members of the association and wished them success to link their work within the BMS to promote scientific and medical research and hold seminars and lectures and contribute to regulating the profession and strengthening relations with Arab and non-Arab counterparts.
He pointed out that the Bahrain Emergency Medical Association is a member of the Gulf Union for Emergency Medicine and the World Federation of Emergency Medicine. The Association also won the title of the most active association of the (BMS). Dr. Nizar Wish that the new board members of the Association continue the activities of the Association to continue to maintain this title.
