The Board of Directors of Bahrain India Society (BIS) has congratulated His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the King of Bahrain; His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, the Governments of Bahrain and the Republic of India as well as the people of Bahrain and India on the recently concluded historic visit by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This first ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Bahrain has enhanced the five thousand years old friendly relations between the two nations to that of a strategic partnership, BIS said in a statement.

The Board also congratulated the Indian Ambassador, Alok Kumar Sinha and the Indian Embassy on organizing the address of Mr. Modi to an unprecedented 20,000 people of the Indian diaspora.

Bahrain India Society would be happy to work with the EDB, BCCI and relevant Government bodies — both in Bahrain and India — together with the Indian Embassy in realizing the agreements reached during this landmark visit, it added.
