Bahrain Specialist Hospital wins bid to operate BAC medical clinic

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), signed an agreement with Bahrain Specialist Hospital (BSH) to operate the airport clinic of the new passenger terminal building for the next 10 years.  BSH was the winning bidder of a public tender to operate the airside medical facility at BIA new passenger terminal building . A dedicated team of healthcare professionals will be provided around the clock. They’ll offer medical services to passengers and airport staff and will also act as first medical responders in emergencies. BAC Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah and BSH Chairman Hamed Rashid Al Zayani signed the agreement.

Speaking at the signing, Mr. Al Binfalah said: “Health and safety is one of our highest priorities. We expect to see the level of service improve further when we launch the new passenger terminal building. Through a competitive tendering process, BSH was selected because of its technical capabilities and the expertise of its team. It has a reputation for excellence in healthcare and the First Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited Hospital in Bahrain. We look forward to work in partnership with BSH to support this vital function at our new world class airport.”

Mr. Al Zayani said:

“We congratulate BAC on the new passenger terminal building. We are happy to enter into this partnership with them. This agreement aims to provide the best medical services to BIA users and a unique opportunity for Bahrain Specialist Hospital. The BAC clinic will be an essential addition to other services for travelers to and from the airport.”
