Scores of people attended the Bahrain Moroccan Handicraft Week held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.
The event, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism His Excellency Mr Zayed Al Zayani, was organized by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority in cooperation with Dar Al Sanea from Morocco.
“We are proud to witness the success of the event held to promote the handicraft scene in Bahrain and Morocco. The event portrays the level of cooperation between both countries and was positioned as a platform to promote handicrafts from both Bahrain and Morocco,” said Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa.
“The event aimed to further develop the industry and exchange expertise between both countries. Our strategy focuses on hosting events that will attract the public in Bahrain and neighboring Gulf countries,” he added.
The event was also attended by school students. Also the event included workshops, live musical performances, cooking demonstrations and fashion show. Also a range of handicrafts were on sale for the public.
