BAS Company welcomes Al-Mabarah Al Khalifa students and trains them in the Air Cargo Section
As a part of its efforts to strengthen cooperation with private sector, especially in the fields of education and training. Bahrain Airport Services Company (BAS) has extended its support to three-week Summer Training Program (Ithraa) of Al Mabarah Al Khalifa Foundation.
During the program, BAS received a group of students between the ages of 14 and 17 to participate in an integrated training program in the Air Cargo Section.
Mr. Khalid Al Bastaki, Senior Manager of Training and Development at BAS said: “The company is eager to invest in human resources and develop them. We are pleased to partner with educational, training and private sector institutions in Bahrain to attract students and trainees, introduce them to the local labor market and opportunities in the logistics and aviation sectors.
He added: “Through our continuous work and accumulated experience, we have at BAS a number of integrated training programs, which have been carefully prepared and tailored according to the quality of the trainees, their ages and their practical backgrounds. So that every trainee gets the right to attention and knowledge.
From hid side, Mr. Khalid Abdul Razzaq, Manager of Air Cargo at BAS said: During the training period, we introduced students to the work mechanism and ethics through field trips and practical training. Where the students were briefed on the various services provided by “BAS” to the operators of cargo planes and carriers, especially that the company provides ground handling services to more than 122 thousand shipments per year, more than 126 million kilograms.
