As part of its efforts to cooperation with various educational and training institutes in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Bahrain Airport Services Company (BAS) has supported the summer training programs. Based on its strategy to invest in human capital. By attracting students and trainees, introducing them to the local labor market and opportunities in the logistics and aviation sectors.
Khalid Al Bastaki, Senior Manager of Learning and Development at BAS Company, said that several specialized training programs were offered during the summer break to groups of civil society organizations. In addition, we receive work placement programs students (Males and Females) from various schools and institutes.
Among the groups that were trained, were a group of students from the Al-Mabarah Al-Khalifiya Summer Training Program, which lasted for three weeks. During the program, BAS received a group of students between the ages of 14 and 17 to participate in an integrated training program in the Air Freight Section. The company also received students from the summer camp organized by the Royal Academy of Police in cooperation with the Tamkeen Labor Fund. The students of the camp toured the BAETC Center for Training in Aircraft Engineering. Where they learned about general information about aircraft maintenance and engineering, aircraft manufacturing and how to take care of it. They also assisted to a practical training on the ground by the staff and trainees at BAS.
BAS provides an annual budget to train students. It offers training programs in the areas of undergraduate and graduate students, including financial accounting, information technology, business administration, electrical engineering, welding, manufacturing, and more.
Moreover, we offer on the job training programs to all Bahraini’s students from national and private universities.
