Bahrain’s leading digital communications solutions provider, Batelco, proudly announces the launch of Voice over LTE (VoLTE) across the Kingdom as it strives to enrich the voice experience for all its iPhone customers. In the latest evolution of its voice services, Batelco is delivering the technology to provide customers with the very best Mobile experience available today.

Batelco is the first telecom company in the Kingdom of Bahrain to launch the Voice over LTE service (VoLTE) and starting today, all iPhone customers with an iPhone 6 or later can make wideband, high-quality phone calls using Voice over LTE (VoLTE). Customers with the right device will enjoy the service without incurring any extra charges.

The new VoLTE service will take the customer call experience to a new level by reducing the call set-up time significantly. Additionally, it will provide superior high-quality (HD) voice calls while simultaneously allowing customers to truly enjoy 4G/LTE Internet experience without any degradation in Internet speed. Customers with the relevant devices and package will be automatically upgraded to enjoy the service. Apple is in process of sending software updates to all compatible iPhone users in the Kingdom.

Commenting on the launch of the new service, Batelco Bahrain CEO, Eng. Muna Al Hashemi said, “It is our pleasure to announce the launch of the Voice over LTE Service with Apple for our iPhone users in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Batelco aims at improving and guaranteeing the best customer experience by providing the latest innovative technologies to its customers.”
