Batelco, the leading digital solutions provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced sponsoring a hackathon in collaboration with Injaz for university level students. It is set to take place on July 3 and 4 at the Brinc Batelco IOT Hub and will witness participation from 25-30 Injaz Bahrain camp Alumni.
This sponsorship comes in line with the company’s commitment to supporting the education sector with a special focus on youth-oriented digital development programs. The hackathon was arranged to support the digital evolution of this era, with the aim to drive innovation within the younger generation and encourage them to adopt new solutions to existing problems, while educating them on the evolution of the ICT industry.
The hackathon is a platform which facilitates the meeting of minds, backgrounds and skills to collaborate and come up with an innovative tech-based approach to solve an existing problem. The goal of a hackathon is to create usable software or hardware with the goal of creating a functioning product by the end of the event, and the winning teams will also get the chance to win valuable cash prizes.
Batelco aims to launch such initiatives and events in alignment with its community efforts to contribute towards its growth and development.
