BBK announces the winners of its 2015 Annual Awards

    BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking presented prizes to the winners of its 2015 Annual Awards during the Bank’s annual dinner held on 14th January at the Gulf Hotel. These yearly awards are part of the Bank’s Employee Recognition Programme (ERP), which was launched in April 2013 and is aligned with the Bank’s philosophy that a motivated and engaged workforce translates into a superior banking experience for its customers.

    The programme rewards BBK employees who have either demonstrated exceptional performance or who have made significant contributions in a number of specific areas, such as creativity, organisational ability, workplace success or teamwork.

    This year the Bank has added a new award within the Chief Executive category, the “CE award for Women Empowerment” and that is in the line with its women empowerment initiatives and policies. During the event, Mr. A.Karim Bucheery presented the CE Award for Women Empowerment to Mr. Mohammed Ali Malik, GM, Retail Banking. The award comes as a recognition of Mr. Malik’s efforts in raising the women ratio in his division (Retail Banking) and empowering women to take leadership positions.

    The  Chief Executive Award for Excellence in Leadership 2015, has been awarded to Mr. Hassaan Mohd Burshaid, Assistant General Manager, Human Resources & Administration. Mr. Burshaid has exhibited strong leadership which has impacted the performance of his team and has contributed to the Bank’s overall success.

    In addition, Mr. A.Karim Bucheery handed over the Chief Executive Award for distinguished achievement to Mohamed Abdulla Bucheery – Unit Head – Information Technology and to Badran Mahmood Ali – Unit Head – Direct Sales.

    On the Retail Banking side, the following outstanding employees were recognised in their respective fields as here listed; Salman Saleh AlHasan as Best Teller, Hussain A.Nabi Abdulla and Hameed Ali Al Shakhoori as Best Sales Consultant, Khaled Khalil Ali as Best Customer Service Representative and Nofa Mohamed Al-Jawder  and Aysha Moosa Al-Moosa as Best Team Leader.

    And In recognition of team work the Electronic Funds Transfer System “EFTS” Project Team won The Best Team of the Year and the Adliya Financial Mall won The Best branch Of the Year. Mr. Bucheery handed over the trophies and certificates to the team members.

    In addition to those yearly awards, BBK throughout the year and under the ERP programme, BBK has recognized deserving employees for notable achievements in support of the Bank’s performance and productivity objectives, based on criteria set out by the bank’s senior management. A high number of employees were presented with ‘Spot Awards’ and ‘Monthly Awards’ in its 3 categories: bronze, silver and gold.
