In line with its social responsibility philosophy, BBK held on May 29th an entertainment event for the orphans at “PLAY”, the popular hands-on children’s activity center located in Seef Mall where the Bank has sponsored a miniature “BBK Branch” since 2017.
Coinciding with the blessings and benevolence of the holy month of Ramadan, the initiative aims at bringing joy and happiness to their hearts and putting the smile on their faces. Orphans are an integral part of our society and BBK believes in its responsibility to embrace them. It always strives to achieve partnerships between the private and public sector for the wellbeing of the society and to ensure its sustainable development.
In collaboration with the Royal Charity Organization, BBK organized the initiative with the generous support of its subsidiary CrediMax, and the kind cooperation of Fakhro Restaurant Company (McDonald’s). The event included 40 orphans, aged between 3 and 10 years old.
The mini-model of BBK in Play was introduced by the bank last year, allowing children to learn the basics of banking, saving and counting in a fun and cheerful atmosphere. In this center, children can play the role of a banker, a treasurer, a manager or even a customer, pretending to carry out “transactions” such as deposits or withdrawals through an ATM, and placing valuable property in the treasury, thus mimicking the transactions that take place in the real branch.
