“BBK Develops Leadership Potential”.

BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, has announced that 20 employees who are in team leadership and task management roles have commenced an Early Leadership Training Programme which is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management, (ILM), one of the largest professional leadership and management bodies in the United Kingdom.

Aligned with the Bank’s strategy of ensuring continuous development of its team’s leadership capabilities, the eight-month programme will help participants develop a range of key management skills and put them into practice through case studies, group discussions and assignments. It will also build leadership capabilities such as motivating and engaging teams and managing work relationships.

The Programme was launched on 22nd of September at Wyndham Grand Hotel – Bahrain Bay. On completion of the programme participants will be ILM Certified.

Commenting on the initiative, BBK Chief Executive, Mr. Reyadh Sater, said: “An integral part of BBK’s success is an unswerving focus on the continuous development of our valuable human capital. Initiatives like these empower our people with the leadership skills they need to succeed, whilst also ensuring there is effective leadership at all levels of the Bank.”

The ILM Qualification Programme has been customized according to BBK’s Leadership Competencies Framework and includes eight leadership and management modules that will be delivered using a dynamic, real world methodology involving case studies, group discussions and assignments

The Bank’s General Manager of Human Resources & Administration Group, Mr. Hassaan Burshaid added: “The Programme is comprised of a wide range of units covering core management skills such as communication, team leadership, change management, innovation and managing people and relationships. The Programme is tailored to meet the needs of individual and the Bank.” He concluded: “We continue to invest heavily in the training and development of our people and this Programme underscores our ongoing commitment to identifying and nurturing employees potential so that they can enjoy a long and fulfilling career with BBK.”
