Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) management and staff took part in the Kingdom-wide National Sports Day celebrations on Tuesday, with their own pair of fun sporting activities held at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” in Sakhir.
A large group of participants braved the chilly weather and either walked, ran or cycled BIC’s 5.412-kilometre Grand Prix track, which hosts races such as the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
They then took the festivities to Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC) where they enjoyed several laps out on the 2.550km Commission Internationale de Karting track – the same that is used by some of the world’s top karters in the karting world championships.
Both events were organised by BIC’s Social Committee. Such gatherings are hosted on a regular basis for BIC management and staff all through the calendar year, with the aim of further developing camaraderie amongst the BIC team.
