BPW Bahrain hosts The 2nd International Business & Professional Women Forum

The Bahrain Business & Professional Women International Federation (BPW Bahrain) has announced hosting The 2nd International Business & Professional Women Forum in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 5th to 8th May 2018.

The forum, which brings together regional and international figures, aims to put the strategies related to the International Federation’s activities, discussing collaborations as well as benefiting from the investment opportunities the Kingdom offers.

The forum program includes panel discussions and visits to economic landmarks and leading corporates. To mention a few:  Bahrain Financial Harbour, Tamkeen, Bahrain Bay, Bahrain International Circuit, in addition to GPIC, Alba, Bapco and economic incubators. The program also includes tours organized by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities.

The opening ceremony will be held on Saturday’s evening at Bahrain Fort Museum Site, while the panel discussions will be held the next day at Bahrain National Museum. The discussions will highlight the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for FinTech, the Sustainability & Future of Start-ups and Women in Leadership.

Commenting, Sh. Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa, President of BPW Bahrain, said: “We are pleased to host the 2nd International Business & Professional Women Forum after the success we gained in 2015. We have initiated to organize and host this forum to celebrate the international achievements of the Arab women”.

“We have been keen to keep up with the latest economic trends through the panel discussions, which highlights Bahrain as a leading hub for the FinTech that provides an added value to the financial services industry, and an ideal environment for start-ups and innovation”, she added.

“The forum also celebrates the women who presided the International Federation since its inception 120 years ago.  And here, I would like to refer with pride to Dr. Amani Asfoor from Egypt, who is the first Arab President of the International Federation. The current president Dr. Amani will be honoured at the opening ceremony, in recognition of her outstanding role and the significant progress made by Arab women in the World Federation”, she continued.

Other figures attending the forum include Dr. Shaikh Hessa Saad Abdulla Salem Al Subah, the Arab Region Ambassador of the International Federation and President of BPW Kuwait beside the presidents of the Arab Federations.

The 2nd International Business & Professional Women Forum is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tamkeen as Strategic Partners, and sponsored by EDB, VIVA, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, Bahrain Authority for Tourism and Exhibitions as well as GPIC.
