BRAVE CF partners up with “Smile” initiative to celebrate cancer-free kids

BRAVE CF SMILE Initiative

Thanks to the initiative and support of BRAVE CF, the biggest sports enterprise in the history of the Kingdom of Bahrain, “Smile” Initiative celebrated the honoring of 13 of its brave heroes who ended the treatment and recovered from this disease. The celebration took place in the presence of a large number of “Smile” heroes, their parents, volunteers and sponsor’s team in a special ceremony. “Smile” is an initiative of the Future Society for Youth which is concerned with providing psycho social support to children with cancer & their parents in the Kingdom of Bahrain

Through the initiative of KHK Heroes Foundation, led by His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BRAVE CF celebrated their brave heroes, in the presence of Valeria Lang, KHK Sports COO, and BRAVE CF Super Lightweight Champion Eldar Eldarov. The first-ever world champion from the Kingdom gave an encouragement speech to the heroes and participated in the distribution of honoring certificates and took photos with all the kids The ceremony was held at “The Fun Yard” in the “Hala Plaza” complex, and Smile’s volunteers as well as BRAVE CF officials provided a variety of activities for children in a festive atmosphere that included a number of games, gift distribution and more.

“I have been recognized as a champion, but you are all champions in our book. You have faced way tougher battles than I have, and you came out victorious. You are an example for everyone, and all of us at BRAVE Combat Federation are amazed at your courage and your demonstrations of resilience. We thank you for providing us with a life-long lesson and we hope you are successful in everything you set your minds to”, said the champion in a touching speech.

Valeria Lang, COO of BRAVE Combat Federation, was equally impressed with the resilience of the young kids in their battle against cancer and pledged to help the cause with increasing fortitude.

“BRAVE Combat Federation prides itself in giving a platform to the biggest fighters in the world, and we are very impressed to see that we have some of the biggest fighters in the world in this room too. We are amazed at the resilience shown by these kids to battle cancer and we look forward to helping them in any way we can in the future”, complemented Lang.

Chairman of the Future Society for Youth Mr. Sabah Abdul Rahman Al Zayani, explained that this ceremony comes within the framework of the “Smile” initiative in February every year to honor children who have passed the stage of cancer treatment, expressing his thanks to BRAVE Combat Federation, for their support in this ceremony and its members who had a distinguished presence, inserted joy and pleasure and spread hope in the hearts of children, whether the recovered ones or who are still fighting cancer.

He also pointed out that the “Smile” initiative by honoring these children will be able to direct a greater focus to the sick children who is currently caring for them and to proceed with improving the psychosocial support services provided by “Smile”, expressing his hope that God Almighty will cure all children with cancer as well as once again thanking BRAVE Combat Federation for the expressed interest in the matter.
