International athletes to land in Bahrain by November 11 for Brave International Combat Week
International athletes from over 40 nations will land in the Kingdom of Bahrain by November 11 to take part in the first ever Brave International Combat Week. Over 300 athletes competing in amateur and professional fights are expected alongside their coaches and cornermen. Bahrain will also witness key celebrities, officials and journalists from around the world visiting the nation during these days. Brave International Combat Week will feature 2017 IMMAF World Championships and Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions held during 12th November till 19th November at the Khalifa Sports City.
Bahrain is the only nation other than the United States of America to gain this significant achievement of hosting the IMMAF World Championships. Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions which includes athletes representing 21 nations marks the most diverse fight card hosted by any nation in Asia, Europe and Africa. 32 fighters will be a part of Brave 9 which also features three major championships to be decided during the fight night. Apart from the fight night, Bahrain will witness the launch of Ace Media Awards 2017 that honours media based initiatives in Bahrain. 2017 Brave International Combat Week will also feature Road Show and Food Festival to engage the massive inflow of global athletes and audience who will arrive in Bahrain to experience the event.

Within a year, Bahrain have emerged as the rising power in combat sports by holding more events than any other top promotion during their first year. Bahraini fighters who train at KHK MMA gym have won medals and made Bahrain proud at the African Open and Asian Open championships. 2017 Brave International Combat Week will be the crowning glory of Bahrain in sports initiatives.”, said Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation.
IMMAF World Championships will be hosted under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa while Brave 9 is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
