BTEA Holds First Board Meeting for the Year 2019

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, H.E. Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani headed the first board meeting of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) for the year 2019.

During the meeting, the board reviewed and discussed several topics on the agenda including the proposed budget for 2019-2020 and the tourism strategy for 2019-2022 which aims to attract more than 14 million tourists by the year 2022.

The meeting also included a discussion on BTEA’s latest developments and implementation plan of the various projects in the pipeline, which aim to maximize the number of visitors entering the Kingdom, further strengthening the position of the Kingdom as an ideal tourist destination.
