The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has organized a trip in collaboration with Raiffeisen Tours – Kooperation (RTK) Top Agents, which will take place between the 26th and 30th of September 2018. A total of 66 visitors were welcomed to the Kingdom; including 40 representatives from the leading German travel agencies.
RTK is one of the largest European organizations in the travel industry and currently consists of 4,000 travel agencies. It offers its partners professional and innovative travel solutions and has a nationwide network consisting of partners and franchisees.
The BTEA expressed its gratitude for the selection of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a destination for RTK’s Top Agents annual trip. This comes as a result of the meetings held between the BTEA and RTK in ITB Berlin 2018 followed by Bahrain being announced as the winner of the bid.
The official announcement was made for the Kingdom of Bahrain as the host for the aforementioned annual trip was made during a recent meeting held with the BTEA. Bahrain will be provided with the opportunity to familiarize leading European travel agencies with Kingdom’s various tourism offerings; visitors will be able to experience several leisure activities and visit various attractions during their 4-day stay.
“The trip comes as a result of meetings held with RTK during ITB Berlin 2018 which was held back in March where the BTEA was provided with the opportunity to showcase the diversified tourism facilities of the Kingdom; as well as highlight Bahrain’s potential for tourism due to its rich culture and diverse range of offerings,” said the Chief Executive Officer of BTEA, H.E. Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa.
Hosting the Top Agents for RTK comes as part of the BTEA’s long term strategy to further develop the Kingdom’s tourism sector on a regional and international level under the slogan of ‘Ours.Yours.’, which contributes towards the Kingdom’s economy and the 2030 Economic Vision.
The BTEA aims to promote Bahrain through the inauguration of its representative offices located in Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, India, China and Russia in order to bring in large tourist groups from all around the world.
