BTEA Participates in WOW Awards and Convention Asia 2019 in India

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) participated in the WOW Awards and Convention Asia 2019 held in New Delhi, India, for a period of three days, from 27 to 29 June 2019. In line with its strategy to participate in exhibitions and events that highlight the Kingdom of Bahrain on the global tourism map and promote its distinctive elements.

The WOW Awards and Convention Asia 2019 is one of the largest events held which brings together various Indian companies involved in organizing events, weddings, meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.

The exhibition witnessed the participation of BTEA’s Indian representative office, the national carrier Gulf Air, along with various five-star hotels with distinctive outdoor and indoor wedding halls such as the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, Sofitel Zallaq Hotel and Gulf Hotel.

Through its participation BTEA strives to promote and further enhance the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a leading destination for weddings and celebrations while demonstrating the Kingdom’s vast potential to attract couples due to its luxury hotels in addition to its tourism and historic facilities.

“Promoting the Kingdom of Bahrain as an ideal destination for weddings and celebrations comes as part of the BTEA’s strategy which focuses on further developing the tourism sector and increasing its contribution to the GDP in line with the Economic Vision 2030. We are participating in this event for the third consecutive year and aim to attract the attention of other companies participating in this prestigious event as well,” said Tourism Advisor at BTEA, Dr. Ali Follad.

During the event, BTEA representatives held meetings with 40 of the largest Indian companies specialized in the vibrant wedding sector. The Bahrain Pavilion witnessed high interest from visitors as it showcased the wide range of wedding services and amenities available in the Kingdom. Promotional films were also screened and awards were distributed to the most prominent Indian companies specialized in organizing wedding ceremonies.
