BTEA Praises the ‘Bahraini Strongest Man’ Championship

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) praised the success of the ‘Bahraini Strongest Man’ Championship that was launched under the theme of ‘Stay Monster’ and was held in-line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honourary President of Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation.

On this occasion, the Chief Executive Officer of BTEA, H.E Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa congratulated the champion Emad Hussain Al Qaffas on winning the first place in the heavyweight class during the championships.

The event that was launched for the first time, was held at Bahrain Bay from 22 until 24 February 2018. The proceeds from the championships will go towards supporting cancer patients.

This championship comes in-line with the vision and directions of the wise leadership to elevate the youth and sports sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the organization of such championships and sports related events that will enhance the Kingdom’s position as a leading sports hub. In addition, to encouraging a strong and determined generation that will effectively participate in competition as well as raise sports awareness in the community and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
