Capital Club Bahrain Presents ‘Celebrity Chef Series’

Capital Club, the Kingdom’s Premier Private City Club, is proud to announce its new monthly series of ‘Celebrity Chef’.

The inaugural one-week event is scheduled for September 2016 and will feature Chef Jamie Pesaque from Lima, the global ambassador of Peruvian food and a former world’s top 50 restaurant Chef.

Known for his innovative style of cooking, unique ingredients and cutting-edge techniques, Chef Jamie is the first of many to be part of the unique initiative that aims for an ambitious transformation in the culinary scene in the Kingdom.

The series will also host K. Pitaya the founder of one Michelin star Mango Tree restaurant in London and Thailand renowned for Thai cuisine during October followed by Chef Rasheed Quraishi, maestro of Indian cuisine in November.

Visiting Chefs will be taken to the local farms, fish and meat markets in the Kingdom of Bahrain with a challenge of using 70% of local produce in their palettes during the pop-up event hosted at the Capital Club.  The events will be tailor-made for VIPs, Club Members and their Guests.

Commenting on the announcement, Summer Jhingan, General Manager of Capital Club Bahrain said: “we are proud to announce this unique and matchless initiative that aims to lead change in Bahrain’s culinary sector and are pleased to host Chef Jamie Pesaque as our first Celebrity Guest.”

The Chefs will also be visiting Bahrain Institute for Hospitality and Retail (BIHR) where local talent will have the opportunity to meet the Chefs and be trained under their wings during their stay with the Capital Club. In addition, the Club will host etiquette of culinary talks for the students, followed by a fully sponsored internship with the Chef in their hometown.

“This aspiring initiative will not only focus on the Club hosting exceptional events for Members and their guests, but also train and groom local talents where they will be given the opportunity to work first hand with the best of the best.” he further added.

Celebrity chefs will also visit restaurants around Bahrain to give them an opportunity to interact and engage with local F&B businessmen, with hopes to encourage the Chefs to invest in the Kingdom.
