Named after a rare species of beautiful birds-of-paradise, Cendrawasih, this Balinese dance is a relatively new dance with choreography inspired by classical dance routines. Even though the birds are originated from Papua, another island in Indonesia, incidentally, this special bird has a deep meaning and purpose in Balinese cultural life.

It is said that in an epigraph that the sacred bird unleashes the soul to the ultimate destination. The dance itself tells about the life as well as imitating the movement of the Cendrawasih birds. The dresses of the dancers are also arranged in such a way as to strengthen and clarify the motion design that was created.

Watch the performance online on August 14, 2020 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The performance is suitable for all ages, perfect for family entertainment.
