The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) Handicrafts Directorate held a graduation ceremony for the participants of the Ceramic Sculpture training workshop on the 16th of August 2017 at Al Jasrah Handicrafts Centre.

During the ceremony, the Chairman of Al Jasrah Handicrafts Centre, Mr. Yasser Al Sayed, distributed certificates to all 20 participants that took part in the workshop. The workshop, hosted by Ms. Ghada Al Khuzaie, took place over a period of three weeks and tackled the various techniques in the handicrafts field.

Ms. Ghada Al Khuzaie, an established Bahraini artist with long-standing expertise in the sculpture and ceramic works field, has also been part of the Ceramic Glazing workshop that was hosted by a professional trainer from the Kingdom of Morocco.

“The workshop comes in line with the BTEA’s efforts to preserve the Kingdom’s crafts and introduce it to future generations, which also aim to develop the skills of the local workforce and increase their productivity. We are pleased to have witnessed such great turnout, and we look forward to hosting more in the coming future,” said the Director of Handicrafts Directorate at BTEA, Shaikha Wafa Saif
