City Centre Bahrain endorses local talents with the opening of ‘Art City’

City Centre Bahrain, the premier shopping, entertainment and lifestyle destination in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in collaboration with the Bahrain Arts Society, is looking forward welcoming visitors to the ‘Art City’, a pop-up gallery and art workshop, featuring more than one hundred artists from ten different countries until April 27, 2019.

City Centre Bahrain has transformed 650 sqm area on the Ground Floor, next to Gate 1, into a pop-up art gallery and workshop, where residents and tourists can admire over 1,000 remarkable art piece produced by talented Bahrain-based and international artists. The opening ceremony was under the patronage of His Excellency Shaikh Hisham Bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate.

“In line with our vision to create great moments for everyone, everyday and with the aim of promoting the development of Bahraini artists, we have created the mall’s first pop-up art exhibition at City Centre Bahrain. The diversity of works on display underscores the creativity of our national artists and is set to inspire a new generation of cultural enthusiasts,” said Duaij Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager, City Centre Bahrain.

City Centre Bahrain’s pop-up gallery ‘Art City’, is a must-visit attraction in the Kingdom, where you can meet artists, art lovers, curators and galleries. The exhibition will feature works by the renowned multiple award-winning Bahraini artist Abbas Al Mousawi, a professional artist for more than forty years, and founder of The Bahrain Art Project. The installation also features new works by numerous Bahrain-based artists, as part of the mall’s effort to support and promote local talent.

City Centre Bahrain promises to deliver new and exciting experiences with daily live art performances and every week the gallery will feature a new theme, showcasing diverse forms of art and media as well as free to attend workshops daily for all its visitors to take part in.

The gallery is free to enter and open to the public daily throughout the mall’s trading hours and will run for three weeks from April 4 till April 27, 2019
