City International School hosted its annual graduation ceremony

City International School (CIS) hosted its annual graduation ceremony, at Crowne Plaza Hotel, celebrating the accomplishments of more than 200 students of KG, Grade-6 and Grade-10. H.E Javed Malik , the Ambassador of Islamic republic of Pakistan to Kingdom of Bahrain , H.E Bernad Regnauld-Fabre, The Ambassador of France to Kingdom of Bahrain and Muhammad Abdullah Al-Senan, Chairman of the Muincipal Council of Muharraq Governorate were the Chief Guests. Among other notable dignitaries who attended the ceremony were Mr. Hussain bin Ali Alkhayat and Mr. Ali Al Shouwaikh Northern Area Counselors ,Yousif Ahmed Hasan Al-Thawadi Hidd Area Counsellor, Mr. Afzal Bhatti, member OPAC, Dr. Majeed Sanad Chairman ETQAN and Ms. Gopika Beri from Nine Training Center.

In her welcome Address Mrs.Qamar-Un-Nisa the Managing Director of the School highlighted achievements of the school. She congratulated the graduating students and thanked the participants for attending the ceremony. She elaborated that City International School (CIS) inspires to be an institution of excellence committed for the intellectual growth, aesthetic appreciation and the character development of the students.

HE Javed Malik appreciated CIS for the wonderful programs and congratulated the graduating students and their parents. In his address he stressed the students to equip them with the 21st century skills to be able to survive and succeed in their practical lives. He thanked HM The King, HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince for the liberty and openness for the expatriate community. Bahrain is one of the best country to live and work, and role of expatriate in the evolution and progress of the kingdom is appreciated always.

H.E Bernad Regnauld-Fabre, The Ambassador of France to Kingdom of Bahrain also extended best wished to the graduating students and their families. In his address he advised the students that we live in the era of information technology, which is growing at rapid pace. With a single just one click you are connected to billions of people around the world. Few years back it was fixed line telephone. To understand the astonishing age of progress we are living in, you just need to look at the smart phone in your pocket. Two things are certain: technology will continue to evolve and knowledge and information will continue to fuel the economy. Work hard if you want to survive and take your share from this competitive global world.

Muhammad Abdullah Al-Senan, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Muharraq Governorate, congratulated the students and their parents for their achievements. He appreciated the school management for arranging the impressive ceremony.

The School also acknowledged services of the late founding father of City International School, Syed Humayun, who devoted himself for the sacred cause of education. Though he is not among us but the insignia he left behind will serve for centuries to come.

The event lasted for more than two hours and everyone present enjoyed every bit of it.
