Combat Sports Council Officials Attend Workshop

Officials from Bahrain’s nine sports federations that make up the Bahrain Combat Sports Council attended a dedicated workshop to explain the administrative, financial and legal regulations.

The function was organized and hosted by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) at its premises in Seef, where representatives of jiu jitsu, karate, kick boxing, judo, taekwondo, mixed martial arts, boxing, sambo and wrestling federations, where present.

Emma Al Mansoori, Executive Director of Resources and Services at the BOC, emphasized the importance of such gathering to introduce all rules and regulations to the recently-declared sports federations – which all fall under the Bahrain Martial Arts Federation.

Al Mansoori also asserted the keenness of the committee to maintain its active role in further boosting its ties with the council in an attempt to facilitate their work flow to achieve their desired objectives.

Later on, Legal Consultant Salah Khedr made a presentation on the most significant rules and regulations that organise the relationship between the Olympic Committee and sports federations. He also explained the statutes of the sports federations as well as other regulations.

On his part, BOC Financial Resources and Procurement head Hasan Al Khaja spoke on how to prepare budgets, financial adjustments and everything related to financial work at the federations.

Head of Sports Federations Fadi Humaidan discussed the services provided by his department and the correspondence system, in addition to other topics related to the directorate.

Also present were financial controller Ahmed Al Omari and head of Sports Associations Human and Financial Resources Hood Al Mannai.
