These are exciting times for Crowne Plaza Bahrain, one of the business brands in Intercontinental Hotel Group’s portfolio.
The General Manager of Crowne Plaza Hotel Mr. Gilles Nicolas confirmed the start of the initial stages of the comprehensive renovation of the hotel’s rooms and the club lounge at the lobby, which is expected to start effectively on 26th May 2017.
He also took the opportunity to thank the hotel’s owning company represented at the event by Mr. Marc Reissinger, Director of Operations of Gulf Hotel Group and Mr. Abdulla Al Awadi, General Manager of Bahrain Tourism Company for their support in making this renovation project happen.
Also present at the event was Mr. Jan Ific, General Manager of Intercontinental Regency.
Gilles stressed that the aim of the comprehensive renovation of the hotel rooms is to keep pace with the market and the strong competition that is witnessed, especially with the entry of new hotels, adding that the management of the hotel is always seeking to maintain the IHG and the hotel’s status as one of the leading five-star hotels in Bahrain by renovating the rooms with the latest designs, technologies and services that provide convenience to customers. He added, the world of work is changing and so too is our guest: today’s Modern Business Traveller craves a hotel experience that blends work and restoration; they want to boost their productivity and feel inspired in the process.
The renovation project will take place between May – December 2017 and will include a refreshed new look for 138 number of rooms with “new modern” design style and a brand new addition of the Club lounge in the lobby with modern lines bringing a sense of personality, quality and energy to the space.
He added that the renovation process will be for all rooms in one entire wing of the hotel and the brand new club lounge at the lobby, pointing out that during the renovation guests will be able to enjoy the hotel’s range of facilities such as the restaurants, health club, swimming pool and the Bahrain Conference center and the process will not affect the other fully operational rooms on the South wing.The aptly phrased “Demolition Party” was held at one the suites at the wing that is part of the renovation project. The guest had fun ripping the wallpaper in the rooms and posing with helmets and being part of our future plans.
