December declared for the next Brave

Brave Combat Federation CEO Mohammed Shahid has revealed, following the resounding success of Brave 1, that the show will return to Bahrain in December, hinting that the next event would host Brave’s first World Title fight.

Brave began its legacy on September 23rd and delivered a memorable card of action-packed fights involving global superstars.

The show was a coming of age for fighters from the Middle Eastern region as two of Bahrain’s prospects both won their fights, Hamza Kooheji and Mohammed Atif.

And with seven out of ten fights resulting in exciting finishes, the sold-out arena at Khalifa Sports City were given the excitement they were promised, to the delight of H.H. Shaikh Khalid and President Mohammed Shahid.

“It was a lot of work put in by KHK MMA and the Brave CF team worldwide,” said Shahid. “And the result showed. We are soon going to announce our next event, which will be in December. And it will have some exciting fights and more entertainment at the event. For global MMA fans we will have some bigger names in the world fighting and we might even think of dropping in our first title fight. We will close the year for Brave CF in great fashion and as for 2017, that will be a huge year. “

Throughout the card thrills and spills were delivered, with the main event and co-main events resulting in dominant wins.

Abdul Kareem Al Selwady won the main event with a first round submission victory over – Rami Aziz, and shocking the world, Dagestani fighter Gazhimusa Gaziev knocked-out the undefeated Brazilian fighter Thiago Vieira – having taken the fight on five days notice.

This capped off an incredible night at Khalifa Sports City in the first installment of Brave and as President Shahid watched from cage-side alongside H.H. Shaikh Khalid and his brother H.H. Shaikh Nasser, Shahid saw his vision for Brave coming to fruition in its inaugural event.

He said: “The event was a huge success with a full house and the international reviews were great. All the MMA fans and non MMA fans in Bahrain had amazing time on the post event interviews. We had some amazing fights and some upsets with Ahmed Amir beating “Boogie Man” which was the upset of the night and world champion Frans Mlambo losing against Philippines fighter Stephan Loman. Also Brazilian sensation Thiago was TKOd by Gazhimusa after he took the fight on five-days notice. I was just happy to see all the excitement in the crowd and sportsmanship from all fighters.”
