About 35-40 % of all cancers are preventable. Guideline based routine screenings allows us cancer prevention and early detection, and this leads to lowers cancer incidence and improves the life of cancer patients.
Especially every 1 of 8 women get breast cancer and breast cancer is the leading cause of death for women between 35-50 ages. Even Cervix cancer or uterine cancer could be prevented. There are two major things of early detection of cancer: Screening and lifestyle changes to decreasing the risk factors. Because, we are able to determine the tumor genetic and continue with exactly treatment which is important to avoid over or under treatment. For genetically cancer, especially which is about 25% of all breast cancers detection after risk assessment and further preventive management will save lives and will prevent to getting cancer. Women who have inherited certain changes in the genes have a higher risk of breast, ovarian and uterine cancer, and the breast cancer may develop at a younger age. In case of risk assessment and detection of gene disposition, prevention is possible.
