About 35-40 % of all cancers are preventable. Guideline based routine screenings allows us cancer prevention and early detection, and this leads to lowers cancer incidence and improves the life of cancer patients.

Especially every 1 of 8 women get breast cancer and breast cancer is the leading cause of death for women   between 35-50 ages. Even Cervix cancer or uterine cancer could be prevented. But not only routine cancer screening is the way for protecting cancer. Needs any lifestyle changes or eating habits such as avoiding things known to cause cancer. In this regard tobacco use, physical inactivity, dietary factors, obesity and being overweight, irradiation, alcohol use etc are things which is often avoidable and needs any lifestyle changes. Studies shows that regular physical activity and the maintenance of a healthy body weight, along with a healthy diet, will considerably reduce cancer risk and is very effective in regarding cancer prevention. Exercising four or more hours a week may decrease hormone levels and help lower breast cancer risk. The effect of exercise on breast cancer risk may be greatest in premenopausal women of normal or low weight.

Early detection of cancer greatly increases the chances for detection the cancer often in curable or precancerous stage and successful treatment. There are two major things of early detection of cancer: Screening and lifestyle changes to decreasing the risk factors. Because, we are able to determine the tumor genetic and continue with exactly treatment which is important to avoid over or under treatment. For genetically cancer, especially which is about 25% of all breast cancers detection after risk assessment and further preventive management will save lives and will prevent to getting cancer. Women who have inherited certain changes in the genes have a higher risk of breast, ovarian and uterine cancer, and the breast cancer may develop at a younger age. In case of risk assessment and detection of gene disposition, prevention is possible.

Cancer prevention is an essential part of fight against cancer. The risk factors have a huge impact of developing of cancer. Prevention of cancer needs stepwise approach.
