Deputy Premier His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, chaired the virtual meeting of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training.
The council was briefed on the Ministry of Education’s preparations for the next academic year in public and private schools, that will ensure an appropriate educational environment according to the choice of parents to attend their children or study remotely.
Deputy Premier affirmed the government’s keenness to provide what is possible to resume students’ educational studies and preserve their safety; the necessary measures are being prepared in cooperation with Health Supreme Council (SCH) and Health Ministry to deal with the pandemic. While the Education ministry is working on the educational content for social and interactive platforms to suit the different requirements.
As for higher education, the council directed the University of Bahrain (UoB) to start developing a future plan to cooperate with high-leveled international universities to improve the higher education quality, enhance the competitiveness of the university on regional and global levels and strengthen national economy by providing labor market requirements.
