The Heart-Warming Wildlife Series is Co-produced by Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, and Glen Zipper

Discovery Channel is set to launch ‘THE BOND‘ in the Middle East on Earth Day, April 22. Co-produced with Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey of Team Downey, along with award-winning writer/producer Glen Zipper, the four-part series takes an intimate look at the unique bond between animals and humans, spotlighting these relationships in its purest forms.

The series was filmed across the globe and tells the remarkable and inspiring stories of men, women, and children bonding deeply with animals that we might think of as wild. These animals were never meant to be domesticated, but because of the extreme circumstances arising in the modern world, they were forced into close contact with human beings – and both animals and humans had to adapt in sharing our increasingly fragile planet.

“For decades, the Discovery Channel has taken viewers into exhilarating adventures across different parts of the planet, celebrating its richness and the magnificent life forms that co-exist within it. Which is why we are honored to have partnered with Team Downey and Glen Zipper for THE BOND, a passion project that we hope will remind viewers of our innate connection with nature and how our choices and actions impact the wildlife and future of our planet,” says Kerrie McEvoy, Channel Director Factual and Scripted Acquisitions EMEA PayTV at Warner Bros. Discovery.
