Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the biggest urban development companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning during their on-site visit led by General Manager of the Southern Municipality and Acting General Manager of the Muharraq Municipality, Engineer Yousif bin Ebrahim AlGhattam. Both parties discussed recent project updates and explored possible ways of collaboration to ensure that all municipal regulations are in place in regards to the further development and completion of this much-anticipated project.
The CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq, Dr. Maher Al Shaer welcomed the guests and expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the delegation for accepting the invitation to visit the site. Dr. Al Shaer also conveyed his gratitude for the continuous support and cooperation received from the Municipality in furthering the progress of this ambitious project and stated that this partnership will lead to great benefits for the country and its citizens.
Elaborating on the delegate visit, Dr. Al Shaer commented, “Diyar Al Muharraq sets itself apart by being the largest private sector development project in the Kingdom of Bahrain and offers plenty of lucrative investment opportunities while boosting economic growth. We are proud by the support we continue to receive from all the stakeholders involved who share the same commitment for the success of this important project which will solidify Bahrain’s position in the region as a real estate investment hub.”
During the meeting, Dr. Al Shaer showcased the Diyar Al Muharraq masterplan which includes the longest waterfront in the Kingdom, as well as public recreational beaches and parks. The project also offers apartment complexes, hotels, and shopping centers. The blueprint of Diyar Al Muharraq alsoboasts commercial and office buildings, as well as educational and medical facilities. Projects such as DiyarHomes, Sarat and Dragon City are a first of their kind in the country spread over a total land area of 115,000 square meters.
Following the presentation, the delegation was taken on a guided tour of Diyar Al Muharraq with stops at Marassi Al Bahrain and the social housing projects,and were briefed on the progress of the work on the services and related areas.
On this occasion, Eng. Yousif bin Ebrahim Al Ghattam reiterated Diyar Al Muharraq’s role as a key driver of economic growth, offering his gratitude and appreciation to the Management of Diyar Al Muharraq for their commitment to supporting Bahrain’s development and progress. He also stressed on the importance of the project adhering to all the construction standards, requirements, and licensing as per Municipal regulations and legislation to maintain utmost safety and timely delivery.
The visit comes at the request of the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Engineer Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf. The delegation also included the Director of Technical Services Department, Eng.Entisar Isa al-Kubaisi,and variousother Municipality officials.
