The Ministry of Education has organised, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, a remote awareness lecture for health counselors in government schools.
Delivered by the Public Health experts at the Ministry of Health, the lecture is within the framework of the National Campaign to Combat Coronavirus.
The lecture, held at the Education Ministry’s Training and Professional Development Directorate, provided comprehensive information about the pandemic regarding its sources, methods of infection, symptoms of infection and how to prevent it.
It also highlighted the most important instructions, guidelines and precautionary and preventive measures in this regard, including wearing masks, measuring temperature, and dealing with suspected cases, social distancing and hand washing.
The lecture was filmed to prepare an educational film explaining the healthy behaviours to prevent the virus. The film will be posted on social media, broadcast on Bahrain TV, and distributed to the various school administrations.
Another awareness-raising film to introduce ways to implement the sanitation procedures for school facilities will be prepared in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defence.
The financial resources and services sector at the Education Ministry also issued an integrated guidebook on the steps of the disinfection process and related health and safety measures.
