Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover Hosts “Think Pink & Support the Fight!”

Euro Motors, the exclusive dealer and distributor for luxury automotive manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover in the Kingdom of Bahrain, recently held a Breast Cancer Awareness Event, in collaboration with the American Mission Hospital medical team.  The event, which was exclusively arranged for Jaguar Land Rover female customers and staff, was held on Thursday, 19th October 2017, at the Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Sitra.

 

Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover organized the medical check up to take place in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign commenced at 12 in the afternoon and came to an end at 5 in the evening. During the daylong event, a complete health checkup was given for the customers and staff by the American Mission Hospital medical team.

 

In line with the campaign, a team of medical professionals from The American Mission Hospital set up a special room in the showroom for carrying out a number of complimentary medical tests and consultations. Doctors and nurses conducted some of the basic tests such as blood pressure, heart pressure and BMI (height and weight checks). In addition, the campaign offered women to take advantage of consultation by expert oncologists for signs of breast cancer by undergoing a full breast health checkup using modern technologies like ultrasound scan and mammography machine. Women who participated in the campaign were given complimentary checkups and medical advice in accordance with the health problems raised by them.

 

Speaking on the event, Mr. Stephen Lay, the General Manager of Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover said: “At Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover, we give great importance to such initiatives, and so we believe that it is our duty to take part in this global campaign which aims at giving hope and spreading awareness about the rising rate of breast cancer. Reiterating our support for this crucial cause by hosting the ‘Think Pink & Support the Fight!’ we were able to give the best health checkup for our customers and staff, and thereby not compromising with their health and well-being.”

Furthermore, the event aimed at empowering women with the knowledge of the symptoms, detection, treatment and cure of breast cancer. The importance of regular check-ups and early detection was emphasized throughout the program and the participants were informed about regular checkups and self-diagnosis. Additionally, leaflets containing vital information about the disease were distributed amongst all participants.
