Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover partners with leading universities in Bahrain to organize the innovative Jaguar Land Rover Bahrain Young Creatives Initiative.
As part of the programme, engineering, design and art students from selected universities are tasked with creating innovative concepts of futuristic automobiles inspired by the Jaguar Land Rover brand. Students visited the high-tech showroom in Sitra and received a detailed orientation on the heritage and history of Britain’s largest automotive manufacturer. The visit to the showroom also provided students with incredible insight on both the exterior designs and the inner workings of the many vehicles available.
Teams are made up of 3 to 5 students from participating universities, namely:
- University of Bahrain
- Bahrain Polytechnic
- American University of Bahrain
Mr. Stephen Lay, the General Manager of Euro Motors Land Rover, commented on the Bahrain Young Creatives initiative and said: “At Euro Motors, we have always taken steps to positively impact the upcoming, younger generation of Bahrain. By conducting such programmes we intend to provide these students with a platform to create and innovate. We are certain that the students would put in energy, enthusiasm and creativity to develop unique concepts that has never been seen before.”
“We are eagerly looking forward to witness the designs at the Jaguar Land Rover Experience Drive Event on 4th December 2019, where it will be displayed for all to see. We certainly look forward to continue collaborating with the higher education institutions in the Kingdom to conduct many more programmes such as this that would greatly benefit the young adults of Bahrain,” he added.
The participants will be presenting their designs to a panel of judges on the 4th of December 2019. All participants of the programme will be provided with certificates of participation along with a personalized letter of appreciation from the General Manager of Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover. Each member of the winning team will additionally be given the opportunity to partake in a 2-week long industry traineeship at Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover. During the 2 weeks, the students would be placed in various departments within the organization in order to gain valuable understanding on the full functionality of the business environment. The winning university will also be presented with a plaque recognizing their victory.
