Bahrain has been buzzing with news of the recently -opened Lulu outlet at Galleria Mall, Zinj. BTW walked into the store this week to find out what it is about the outlet that got the Kingdom raving about it already!
We were warmly greeted by the General Manager of the store, Mr Shameem Valiyakath, who most enthusiastically gave us a tour of the place. As we walked around we were greeted by the warm, smiling faces of the staff who were ready to help customers with any kind of assistance required.
Layed out over two floors, this new store boasts of parking spaces at each floor for the shoppers’ convenience. The design of this new store is quite striking with its imposing black ceiling, and black and red interiors that resemble a typical European hypermarket. Specially designed lightings fitted on the ceilings face the racks to provide enough light to accentuate the products for visibility.
The products are displayed as per the basic layout format of other Lulu stores so that any Lulu customer can walk in blindfolded and head straight towards the section they want to pick up stuff from!
As informed by Mr Shameem, this outlet caters to customers of all nationalities of the area with its fast moving lines of products of the high-end/popular brands.
As we walked around the first floor which includes largely grocery and utensils and crockery, we were thoroughly impressed by the freshness of the products and the wide array of choices available. Farm fresh fruits and vegetables from all across the world augmented the richness of the place, while the aroma of freshly baked cakes and bread from the in-house bakery section was irresistibly enticing. We were delighted to learn that not only can customers choose from an extensive assortment of freshly baked cakes, they can also order cakes as per their choice and pick that up within 3 hours!
Other irresistible attractions of the store are:
- Large variety of fresh and hygienic fish, meat, sea food and cold cut sections including variety of salmon, including organic ones.
- An extensive section of organic and gluten free food
- An enormous collection of special breads which include kraftkorn, soya, multigrain, grainex, tomato-onion, etc.
- A daily section with fresh salads, sandwiches and fruits for a quick bite for office-goers
- A huge spread of various European and Arabic snacks from the in-house confectionary
The second floor comprises electronics goods, IT appliances, white goods, garments, accessories,footwear, stationery, and home furnishings. Products range across the most popular best-selling brands including like Samsung, Apple, Louis Phillipe, Allen Solly, Reebok, Cat, Nike, Sketchers and the likes, we were delighted to find a snatch of India in the rich Indian ethnic wear section with a varied collection of traditional silk and cotton sarees to choose from.
While special promotional offers on various brands are currently running right till the 10th of this month, more attractive offers are underway for Ramadan and Eid. Also, we learnt that special loyalty schemes are being worked upon as reported by Mr Shameem while special discounts are being offered to Danat loyalty card holders.
While it is an absolute go-to shopping destination for residents in Zinj, Tubli and Salmaniya, it is well within accessible distance from all parts of the Island. We wish this new store of Lulu’s all the very best!
